The daughter of actors Vera Manhães and Antônio Pitanga, and the sister of actor Rocco Pitanga, Camila began her artistic career as a child at the age of six in the film Quilombo (1984). Throughout her career, she stood out in various television productions, including the telenovela Paraíso Tropical (2007), where she played the character Bebel, a role that earned her the APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics), Qualidade Brasil, and Contigo! awards for Best Actress. She also starred in Cama de Gato (2009), Lado a Lado (2012), and Velho Chico (2016).
